How to Use Window10OCR that translates English games! Capture2Text

Introducing the software PCOT that translates English game texts.
Among PC games, there are many games that do not support Japanese.
That's where PCOT comes in. It reads the text on the desktop and translates it.

What you can do with PCOT

You can also translate in-game pop-ups!

Translate in-game pop-ups that only appear when you hover over

Can be linked with DeepL Translator

More accurate than Google Translate

Translation accuracy is improved by creating a unique dictionary and using it effectively.

Equipped with image translation function

You can translate screenshots saved on PrintScreen as many times as you like on a dedicated screen.

The tool itself supports Japanese

Will be.

PCOT installation

Install DeepL before installing PCOT.
As a translator, DeepL is much easier to read than Google Sensei.
And it is a good software that translates immediately by pressing ctr + c twice.
Install from the official website .

After installing DeepL, install PCOT.
The official website is here .

However, there are times when it is not open to the public due to various reasons.
In such a case , follow Twitter and wait for authentication.

Since there is a link in the fixed tweet etc., wait for a while until it is authenticated.

If you are authenticated, download from the link.
Click the unzipped PCOT.exe to execute it.
The initial setting is Japanese, so you can understand it.

How to use PCOT

Select the screen you want to translate from the program list that appears first and click Select.

It's okay if it's suitable for the time being.

The screen will change.

If you choose the game you want to translate first, leave it as it is, and if you choose it properly, click Disconnect below to make the green below a desktop connection.

Set the shortcut key from the settings above.
Click Shortcut Key Settings in System Settings.

Select the shortcut key from there, but I like free selection so I have the selected text translated with ctrl + F.
I think you can remove shift because you can press the checked ones at the same time.

It's easy to use, just press the shortcut key on the game you want to translate to move to the selection screen.
Left-click to select a range and translation will start automatically.
If it is a special font, an error will occur and translation will not be possible.
As soon as you link with DeepL, DeepL will start and it will be translated there as well.

The other features are a friendly UI that you can roughly understand by touching.
If you have any questions, you can solve them by asking questions on the author's Twitter.
